Ferrari has added Mirko Bortolotti, Daniel Zampieri and Raffaele Marciello to its driver academy. They join GP2 driver Jules Bianchi, who was signed up to the project last year after driving for Ferrari alongside Zampieri at the young drivers' test in December. As he approaches the beginning of the defence of his hard-fought drivers' world championship crown in Bahrain in a week's time, Jenson Button has reflected that there are several cars potentially capable of pulling a super-quick lap out of the bag come qualifying in F1 2010 – but argues that only a handful will be able to repeat that feat on race day and maintain the flat-out development pace all the way throughout the campaign.

Fernando Alonso has insisted that he won't be upset this year if he fails to win the F1 drivers' title for a third time.

Alonso will make his debut for Ferrari at the Bahrain Grand Prix next weekend and while the Scuderia have been on the pace in pre-season testing – and are considered by some to be one of the favourites, the Spaniard has tried to quell expectations ahead of the season opener.
